Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal

Dear Theodore Judah Families,

Welcome to Theodore Judah Elementary!  We are pleased to have you as part of our school community.

As the new Principal of Theodore Elementary, it has been my sincere pleasure and honor to become a member of this great school community.  Theodore Judah enjoys a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is a result of a collegial partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for the students.

At Theodore Judah, there is an emphasis to a well-rounded education. While the Common Core Standards drive much of our academic content in the core areas of English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, the children of Judah are also enriched by learning in music, art, and our Science Alive Program. Students continue to be competitive with achievement of our local area criteria schools.  Theodore Judah also offers a wide range of afterschool programs.

At Judah, we believe that successful neighborhood public schools are essential to healthy communities and civic development for youth.  It is our belief that all students can learn when instruction meets their needs.  We promote collaboration within our staff and strive to be consistent in our instructional program across grades and classrooms.  We seek to maximize the learning for all students, not just some, and we believe that diversity is a great asset.  Judah is dynamic organization that strives for continuous growth and improvement that which rejects complacency and rigidity.

Our success is not something we can achieve on our own.  Parents and families are always welcomed here and our community partnerships are strong.  As the Principal, I encourage you to cultivate positive working relationships with your child’s teacher and always be an active participate of the Judah community.  You can get involved by volunteering in your child’s classroom, joining the PTA, attend School Site Council Meetings and attend the principal’s “coffee chats” which will be held once a month.  Please look out for parent newsletters monthly, which also helps to inform our community of school events.  The newsletter is posted on our website and electronically through our classroom e-mail lists and room parent network.  Hard copies will be available in the office.

Theodore Judah is a safe learning environment that continues to grow because of our well-rounded academic programs and strong levels of partnerships with parents and community. I look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s education. Please don’t hesitate to call if you have additional questions.
