Meet the Principal

Principal’s Message

Welcome Back Judah Families:

As I embark on my second year as your proud principal and the beginning of the 2018-19 school year, I want to take a moment to thank our outstanding parents and community for continuous and consistent support.  I am always impressed by your willingness to assist us in general and specific ways.  Thank you for your attendance at our events, for your support and kind words about our staff and programs, and mostly, thank you for sharing your remarkable students with us.  We know how blessed we are to work with them each day.

This year all classrooms will be implementing the use of a new district ELA program.  We will continue to strive to create even more authentic and innovative learning opportunities for students.  Our highly skilled and effective faculty embraces working together to ensure content alignment and sharing best practices to enhance their pedagogy. We know that by working together we create opportunities for students to achieve beyond their own perceived ability levels.  That is my goal for every student at Theodore Judah Elementary; success each day and in all areas. As always, I encourage students to take both academic and extracurricular risks.  I encourage them to be their personal best each and every day while being Respectful, Responsible, Kind, Safe and always a Learner (Principal’s High Five).

Having the opportunity to visit classrooms and talk to students makes me incredibly proud of Judah students. They are a strong, compassionate, and a wise group of human beings surrounded by an equally compassionate and talented staff. At Judah, there seems to be no end in supporting students for growth, achievement, and self-esteem. I am truly honored to work alongside such an outstanding group of people who are dedicated to student achievement and success. We are all here (students and staff alike) for the purpose of changing lives and creating a better future for all.  We also know that we can’t do any of this without the support of parents and community.

Author Louis L’Amour wrote, “There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning.”

I again thank you for your support for our school and for your involvement in your student’s education; that is one of our greatest strengths and something that sets us apart from other schools.  We are very proud of our reality that here, there is an opportunity for everyone to be involved; this includes students, parents, and members of the community.

We are excited for the 2018-19 school year.  Together, we can ensure that this will be our best year yet.

Here’s to a great year together,

Troy Holding
